Seeking a power brick/cable in South Korea for a friend!

Howdy y'all!

A friend of mine has moved over to South Korea (Down on the island of Geoje) where he and his fiance will be working for a while. He refused to take his power brick for his xbox one with him as he wanted to buy a local one to work with the power/outlets
so he did not have to use one of those travel-adapters.

Long-story-short, he has not been able to source one yet in his region. He can find them online but apparently they only take Korean payment cards which he does not yet possess.

I am here to seek help with this. Me and my buddy have not been able to play any xbox live for months now and I would like to find a way to sort this out for him. If anyone knows a place that will accept my Canadian credit card for the purchase of one or
if someone here can source one locally for him to purchase we would both be really grateful!

We certainly aren't looking for anything weird or "free" so just let us know where we can buy one.

Changing Power Supplies

I bought an Xbox One in South Korea that came with a 200v-240v power supply. I am going to move back to the USA in a few months, so how can I get a power supply that will work there and have the right plugs?

Heh, no, if you plug a JPN power brick into Irish mains power, you'll at best blow the fuse in the brick. At worst, you'll blow up the power brick.

friend on live has a JPN 360 and uses his cables from his uk 360.

The AV port, HDMI port, Ethernet, USB, Kinect, and optical ports are not region-specific. Doesn't matter what region those cables are from. It's the power brick and the cable from the
brick to the wall that are region-specific.

There's no place on Microsoft (as far as I know) where you can purchase a power supply like any other accessory. I believe it is something you can only request from a customer rep.

Since your friend has the Xbox, it is recommended that he contact Xbox support via chat or phone (here)
for a replacement power supply that will work in South Korea. Not sure how much it'll cost (if the console is still in warranty or out of warranty), but they should give a complete rundown.

You don't need to purchase a new Xbox. The Xbox One S is multi voltage, so all you need is the correct power cable to South Korea, and the console should work fine.

Hey there!

The gift cards and codes are region locked. Meaning if you’re in South Korea now the gift card must be from South Korea if you wish to redeem it now.

You can select south Korea not Korea as it is 2 separate countries and seeing as north Korea is not allowed on the network due to the us embargo
