See ya XBox, your [Mod Removed] service has pushed me to the PS4

I've had XBox Live since before it existed, I was an original beta tester back on the original XBox. Ive had 3 360s, loved them all. Couldn't wait to get an XBox One, I ordered my Day One Edition online from the XBox Store online, and received it on release
day, and frankly I've really enjoyed it.

However I was having some problems with my Day One controller... It would randomly disconnect all the time. I bought another controller that didn't have the same problems, and kept updating the original controller, hoping that a software update would fix
it, but it never did. Finally I sent my controller back for repair or replacement.

I immediately got an email with an RMA and instructions for returning the controller via FedEx, which I did. Several days later I got another email with instructions on how to return my entire console (?), with a completely different service request number.
I have no idea what that email was about, I ignored it. A couple of days later I got yet another email saying that my replacement controller had been shipped... Unfortunately it was shipped to the wrong address, one that I haven't lived at for years.

I immediately contacted MS, who looked up my service request number and asked if I had called FedEx. I said no, because they would just say "we shipped to the address we were given", so I told the MS rep that they were going to have to contact FedEx and
give them the correct shipping info. The told me no, they shipped to the address they had on file, so it is now between me and FedEx.

Here's my problem with that... I have already verified that the address associated with my XBox Live ID is correct... It is, of course it is, they are able to ship my new XBox One console to me when I ordered it. Also my billing address is correct.

So where did they get this ridiculously outdated address? I have no idea. I'm an IT guy, so between MSDN, MCSE, etc. They probably have 10 different addresses on file for me at Microsoft... But my XBox addresses are all correct.

Anyway I've since contacted FedEx, and, as expected, they told me that I need to work with Microsoft to straighten out the shipping info... Which was right to begin with.

Long story short... I no longer have a Day One controller to go with my Day One console, and can't find any other options for resolution.

Considering my long history with XBox and XBox Live, this is a ridiculously poor customer service situation. And I seem to be out of options.

So, since MS refuses to correct the situation and send me a working Day One controller, I feel that I have no other option but to jump ship, cancel my XBox Live membership, sell the XBox One (and my old 360s which I still use frequently) and buy a PlayStation
4. Hopefully their components won't be faulty to begin with, but if they are, hopefully they'll be able to conduct a simple repair/exchange without losing a customer in the process.

MS, you can prevent this... I've changed auto-renew on my XBox Live membership, but it doesn't expire until next month. Fix the situation by July, I'll renew my XBL subscription, and we can forget this ever happened.

Or lose a customer. Your call.

Its unacceptable that you pay hard earn money for a console that is as useful as a brick this is beyond taking the *** now why the
[Mod Removed] would you create a console that completely relies on one very poor service to run i dont see why everything has to tie in to the xbox services especially when they go down every two mins and your xbox is useless all do your selves
a favour sell your *** xbox and buy a ps4 Microsoft are going down hill fast its gona take a *** load of grovelling to get me to stay.

Sorry you're having a bad experience with the repairs/service, but unfortunately there's not much we can do on the forums.

You would need to speak with Phone Support who hopefully can help you straighten this out. They have more powers than we do. But it does seem like you've been in contact with them previously, so that is the route you should continue going down.

You're right, I've already tried that route, so i was ooking for another one. Frankly I told the phone service rep the exact same story I told here, and he couldn't care less apparently. Sorry to hear that is my only avenue.

Oh well, thanks for the rep!y. Seems I'm not the only customer XBox is losing.
