“Security risks to xbox players by "unknown" accounts selling gold for real money. Tried to follow the process of reporting players in New World Aeteram, however one of the individual's does not have an account listed in either console or pc versions of the game (so you cannot report) but is known to "sell gold" violating #3 of the COC for NWA. The fact that this "hacker" can by pass Xbox\game security so that a player can not report them, is a concern (if they can compromise that aspect of the O\S system, what else can they compromise?) In researching the "buying of gold" online, I located item #3 of the COC, five links to articles that discuss the harm in buying "in-game items and currency" for real money, and a list of players who publish the sale price of in-game currency for NWA and other online games on websites like g2g.com, listing a user name and NWA server where they sell gold (and\or deliver gold to once purchased for real money), however, Amazon does not appear to enforce the violation of their own COC, chosing to allow players to be at risk of identity theft, directly or indirectly...,”

These are the other articles I haver reviewed and that such activity on Xbox or in games with Xbox as a client should be a prioty for MS Security in addressing.

Additonally, one of the requirements is for people to submit a "selfie" along with their private information which then begs the question "is it identity theft if the person volutarily shares there personally identifying info and image?" Then there the concern of what does the recieptant do what the PII info that is volutarily shared? Create a fake id?

As a former MS Employee, MCT and MCSE, I would expect better from Microsoft and XBox in protecting it customer base and its customers' priviate information (proactively, not reactively which used to be a goal of MS Support), especially those of us who play by the rules butwho are placed at risk by those who do not, ultimately placing us all at risk of itentity theft issues as a result of being members of our "friends lists" (if they hack one account because a player wants to "cheat to win" then they can hack my account given the relationship of being listed as a contact of in that players contact list, meanting I've had to remove several "friends" from my friends list, whether they get the reason for my doing so or not.

As the saying goes, winner never cheat and cheaters never win, unless Amazon Gaming and Microsoft Xbox chooses not to secure the game or enforce their "Code of Conduct" for the safelty and security of its honest players...

Can't Use 25 Character Code For Renewal?

If you wish to use a gift card or what they term as local currency, it can't be used to renew Gold subscription. Microsoft currency is virtually considered as real money and it works just like real cash money. Just like real cash money though, it cannot
be used to purchase Gold membership directly from our system. Our system only sells renewing Gold membership and for security reasons, it will require a valid payment method like credit cards and Paypal that can accommodate renewing monthly/quarterly/yearly
charges. Our system follows an account-based program when selling Gold membership.

    Cant buy gold

Microsoft currency or the money on the account is virtually considered as real money and it works just like real cash money. Just like real cash money though, it cannot be used to purchase Gold membership directly from the system. The system only sells renewing
Gold membership and for security reasons, it will require a valid payment method like credit cards and Paypal that can accommodate renewing monthly/quarterly/yearly charges. The system follows an account-based program when selling Gold membership. Think of
it like getting an online membership for Netflix or Hulu, or setting up a mobile phone service with a phone company perhaps. Online systems designed to provide monthly services cannot accept outright cash as a payment method, it needs payment methods with
bank accounts tied up to them like credit cards or Paypal.

    xbox live cost too much

Of course people on Ebay would sell it cheaper, It's sold by people trying to make money, if they made it the same price as retail, which is the same price as xbox is selling it for, then nobody would buy it would they. Like there is already a risk that
they could send a fake code, so to attract people to buy it they would lower their price. The reasons why they would sell it is completely unknown for sure. They might have robbed people of their codes and trying to resell it, or they were disappointed in
their codes and decided to sell it. Either way, it's only cheaper because people want to sell it.

Unauthorized access investigation well over 25 day estimate.

Wow. OK, read very closely -- for comprehension -- I am talking EXCLUSIVELY about the FIFA hack. Let me explain to you how they are getting money. FIFA has in game items that can be TRADED to other players -- the ultimate team stuff, as well as coins.
Right now, people are selling these items FOR REAL MONEY on facebook and other places. THAT is where they are getting the money. They are just like the Chinese gold farmers in WOW and other MMORPGs. That is how they are making their money and it is why
they are hitting so many different accounts.

Yes, I know what Phishing is, do you? It is a scam in which a person is tricked into revealing account access information -- for example, I will give you 10,000 MS points if you give me your password to your account. THAT is phishing. I didn't fall for
    that.
