    Started up my series S xbox today and was unable to connect to Xbox Services. Checking the connection in settings yieleded "You're connected to the internet" but when trying to connect to Xbox Services from the home screen tile it would fail each time. I perfomed a power cycle of the console to the same results. Power cycle of the router and reset of the router. Then I factory reset the console and now it can't download the required update. My internet provider is certain my router is using WPA2 security and it is also showing that in the settings of the router. Hard wiring it to the router shows its connected but can't download the update because the "Security Protocol Won't Work". It was working fine a day ago but suddenly stopped working.

    Error codes: 0x8B050084, 0x00000000, 0x00000201

    Edit: Even entering a fake wireless SSID immediately pops up the "Security Protocol Won't Work" message.

    This console supports WPA/WPA@ (personal)< WPA2 (personal), and WEP network security protocols, but your router is using something else. You'll need to change your router's configuration.

    The router/ motem says right on it that it is WPA2-personal

    It connected okay when we first got the XBOX but now it wont anymore. The motem or router I don't know what you call it is an Actiontec PK5000 with Quest. Please help!!!
