Security Protocol Won't Work with Any Wifi

So my XBOX 1 won't connect to any Wi-Fi since I moved house a year ago. It worked fine when I first moved, but after a little while sat in storage it won't any more.

I enter the SSID correctly for a couple of different private home networks, and nothing, just the message that my security protocol won't work. I've seen a few others with similar issues, but I don't understand how to fix it in my case, because I know it's definitely not a router problem since I've been able to try a few networks, and something to do with the Xbox. It's saying it's still connected to the internet through IPv4, but won't pick up any new wireless networks when I go to set up wireless networks.

I've tried restarting, testing the connection, nothing has worked. I'm not very technically minded so please be kind. Any advice?

    :)

Security Protocol Won't Work with Any Wifi

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. I tried connecting it through an Ethernet cable, it just updated and did conndct to Wifi but when I tried unplugged it displayed the same message.

Resetting it has done nothing but make it stuck trying to connect to the controller. Literally nothing I do has an impact and there is no effect from sync button on the Xbox console I have (not sure which one it is), not even plugging the controller in works.

Hi Rabm_270! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

Some steps to try may be that you do a test by connecting the console through the ethernet cable, if it works that way then you try again through WiFi, if the error continues, perform a factory reset
