    Whenever I need to confirm the proofs I have them call me as opposed to texting because the phone calls seem to come through almost immediately.

  8. The damn codes don't work now I'm locked out of my gold account. Because I can't access the old email I had before igot hacked and i couldnt get in it. the code they sent to my phone and other email doesn't work either. I'm getting sick of this bs

    Try getting in touch with these people if you're not getting the verification codes:

    By the way, they're the Microsoft Accounts Team. They might be able to verify your account through other means. Please give it a shot and let us know what happens. Thanks!

    ok its been two years now that xbox has not even tried to resolve my problem of security proofs not working and now every couple of hours I get boot of live and have to uninstall then reinstall and this is stupid and your workers have no desire to help!!!!!
    I cant even renew my account because of this or purchase anything

    This. Just happened to me today. I was kicked out of xbox live while starting a game. It took me to a screen saying I had to input the security code they were emailing me, the security code email I. Never received. I have a phone number on record but it
    won't allow me to choose my phone number as an option to receive the code. I called both xbox live support and. Microsoft directly and was on the phone for 2 and a half hours and STILL no one could assist me. I changed the password on the account and every
    time I log in it goes straight to a page asking for the code. I had to create this account just to post on the forums and chat to a representative on messenger. Every time I speak with someone they tell me exactly what it says online already And do not offer
    any other solutions to the problem. Apparently nobody can ask questions to determine your identity to ensure you are who you say you are as well. They couldn't send me a new code because it's all computer generated., and the code they COULD send to my phone
    was just to change my password which I had already done! I am furious with Microsoft and if this issue is not resolved promptly I will be taking my business elsewhere. So far all I have received I is terrible customer service, a lack of effort, and an extremely
    repetitive inefficient system.

    @SlimPie71 Not sure what your talking about. I gave them what they needed for security proofs which I have found very useful. I have only received texts or calls when I try to access things like billing information or other sensitive data like that. I don't
    receive any spam at my secondary email either and the only time I receive and email there.

    Now whilst the above is some very sound advice, there are some other things to try. I take it your profile is still on the console? Did you by any chance enable two step verification on your account ?
