  1. Security proof error

My xbox keeps asking me to update my security proofs. So, I went on to the site to update my proofs and update my cell number. Now, my xbox keeps asking me to verify that my old cell is still the correct phone number. When I say "I just updated this online"
then it does nothing and asks me to verify my old cell phone again. This is driving me insane. Please help. It's been like this for weeks.

    :)

Have you checked your security proofs? I got this error code back in May and it was due to an error with the security proofs.

so you went here to do it all correct?
    account.live.com/summarypage.aspx
if you did and your xbox was turned on this whole time just turn it off and then back on.

But if it keeps asking to update go back to the website and click on security and password, then verify yourself, and should be able to remove the old number and add yours into the account. Make sure it is set up to receive alerts by clicking on change alert
    options.
