    Security info Is broken


    I tried to purchase something off the xbox store on my pc, as usual it asked for the mobile phone verification. But when I asked it to send code to my number ********56 it comes up with an error saying "That doesn't match the phone number associated
    with your account. The correct number ends in 56." So after trying multiple ways to fix this i'm now stuck. I could update the security info to my other phone number, but then I'll be waiting a month, and buy then the item I was trying to purchase won't be
    on the store anymore.

    My security info isn't updating like it is supposed to. It has been more than 4 days and it still hasn't updated. It said it would be done in 24 hours. Im doing this because almost every time I sign in on Xbox, there is a message telling me to enter in security
    info but when I do it gives an error.

    Hey mate, you're much better off doing this through the PC, verifying the proofs through the console seems to never work. Follow the steps here:

    support.xbox.com/.../add-security-contact-information

    If you're still getting prompt about security information after doing the above then delete the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile.

    Delete and re-download profile:
    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

    Clear system cache:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    Hi NL,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with this great question. Following the 30 day period, you can definitely make more security changes to your account, if necessary. Of course, this would mean another 30 days, but really, there's no price on having a secure
    account! If you no longer have access to that email associated with the account, it would be best to add another email that you do have access to, to be on the safe side, and of course, help out with account recovery and authentication.

    I'm afraid that the only option to get this resolved is by contacting Xbox/Microsoft Support which can be done by Phone or via Microsoft Support Chat. Both options are available at
    support.xbox.com/contact-us

    The people in the forums can't help in a case like this
