Security Info Change To Phone Number

So right now i am in the process of having my security info being deleted. I didn’t have access to the email associated with my, which was the only type of security info i had on my account, so i had to delete it. With the start of this process i was asked
either to enter an email or a phone number as a source of security info, i chose to enter a phone number. I was also told that my unaccessible email that i am trying to get rid of will be removed and instead the phone number i used will be replacing it. So
my question is that will my account be sustainable with just that phone number? Will i not be able to have an xbox account since i will not have an email but instead a phone number? Will my account soon be deleted if i do not enter an email soon after that
30 day period is up? This is the first time i am doing this and i have no clue what to expect or what is going to happen.

It also helps to keep your security into upto.date so you dont run into.this problem

One thing changes you use the current security into to.change.the one you want rather then reseting and waiting 30days

The 30days is a security feature to allow you to recind any changes to your security incase your account is compromised you have a chance to reset the changes

One of the many security practices you should alwyas keep KEEP your info upto date

I go thru them every 6months or if something immediate changes I update it.right then and there

The account will still be usable after the phone number updates. Once the phone number is updated, we suggest

updating the rest of your security information. It is always best to have more security information on the account in case you lose access to one or the other. Also, the account will not be deleted if you do not enter more security information after the

You may also need to change your phone number on the relevant security page if you're using a phone number to receive security alerts. Go here.....

.....then click the blue "Update info" button and you can add/remove phone numbers there.
