  1. Security for the Xbox One wireless controller

I work for a library system. We have a Xbox One out on display for the public to use. Right now we are keeping it locked up because of the possibility of theft of the controller.

Is there a hardwired version of the Xbox One controller out there somewhere?

If not, how would I secure the wireless one? I was thinking a Kengsinton lock but they don't make a special one for the controller and there's no place to put it on.

Finally I was thinking of taking apart the controller and drilling holes somewhere to place a cable through it then securing the controller back together so the security cable can't be removed. No clue where to drill though. Saw youtube videos of people
taking theirs apart and it looks pretty cramped in there. Not enough room for a cable that I can see.

Any help would be great. We don't want our controllers to walk off.

    :)

  2. To Microsoft on ideas for Xbox: Project ScorpioSecurity for the Xbox One wireless controller :)

Hello Microsoft! I think you should add thumb recognition for better security to your Xbox: Project Scorpio wireless touch controller, it would be so cool and awesome to have aswellSecurity for the Xbox One wireless controller :) that way you could print your thumb print on the controller to turn on
the console and controller by only your identity for security purpose. ? ?

Lost serial number sticker, shop refuses to fix damaged controller

My apologies, I mistook it for a wireless controller.

The label missing is also designed to cover the fastener in the cyan circle. That is one of the security features.

There is not a wired controller that I'm aware of but here's a couple of suggestions:

    1. Have a bar code placed on the controller and then only provide it to those who submit their library cards. This way you will be able contact them if the controller is not returned.

    2. Devise a clamp system for the controller. Head to the hardware store with the controller and find a couple of small pieces of metal that can be shaped or clamps that will fit around the controller and then can be chained to the cabinet the console sits
in. You should check out gaming stores for more ideas on this.

  5. The bar code suggestion is good but the library wants no interaction with it meaning they dont want to have to sign people out when they want to use it. They just want it freely used whenever people come in.

I called the Microsoft Store. The lady I talked to said they don't sell anything like that at the store and she transferred me to the Xbox store. After talking with that guy he said it's a retailer only item and that I can't get one unless I own a store
and know a sales rep. He suggested I go to a local Best Buy and talk with a manager or someone higher up and see if that person would give me the name of the rep they use to buy from.

There's no way they would give me a name of their rep. For all he knows he might think I want to buy games at store costs and that's why I want that contact.

    Oh well.

I wish there was more that I could suggest. Perhaps try your local gaming store such as GameStop (EB Games if you are in Canada) and see if they might be able to assist you in getting one.

Other than that, perhaps a copious amount of crazy glue and a chain might help. lol

Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver Drivers for Windows 11

yeah I'm sorry it's just not supported, it's not an Xbox 360 wireless dongle, it's a proprietary one for a specific device,

If memory serves it's basically a Bluetooth receiver with a Xbox security chip interface attached to it, which would mean that no Xbox 360 controllers would work with it. The wireless adapter has the ability to support up to four controllers and other additional circuitry that makes it work
