    Security code issues


    I own an xbox360 and many, many years ago set it up so that I could download content (namely for playing Rocksmith). Sadly the console has broken (red ring of doom!), which means I can no long access the game or my account with associated downloaded content.

    I decided to access my Microsoft account on my laptop and though I could initially access my account online I got stuck as it is sending all security verification codes to an email address I don't have access to anymore. This means I'm locked out of doing
    anything with the account.

    What I would like to do is change the email address that receives the verification security code to an email address I regularly access. Alternatively it could go to my mobile phone. Is this possible/easy to do?

    Why is this important? I have downloaded a load of music for playing on Rocksmith and when replacing the console (and potentially upgrading it), I don't want to pay for this content all over again.

    Can anything be done?

    following the "Troubleshooting security code issues" link solved my problem. Specifically when I registered my daughters email following https://account.microsoft.com/security (the link given in trouble shooting) I finally received a security code.

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having issues with receiving a verification code. What device are you on when trying to send the code? If on PC try a different browser. Here is a guide for
