Security breach with credit cards

Xbox Live is using other applications to update credit cards within xbox live without consent or approval. The application or applications providing the banking information is currently unknown, at least to me. The supervisor I worked with for over an hour
and a half told me the following;

"It appears as though the card ending in [Mod Removed] was added either via http://account.microsoft.com ,Xbox | Games and Entertainment on All Your Devices , or on the console itself. This was done on the 26th of January. That same day, the card ending in
[Mod Removed]was removed after the subscription's payment method was switched to the new card. However, the only way that would have happened would be if someone contacted us with the new information for payment, or made the changes online
or on the console."

"In looking into this further, I can say for certain the card was added either online or on the console. With either place, there would have been a message informing anyone who logged into your Microsoft Account of the suspended subscription and the
past-due balance. An email would have also been sent with the same information. I do see the card ending in
[Mod Removed]was added around 7:30 AM your local time yesterday. With the security measures we have in place, in order to add a new payment option, one would have to verify their identity. I'm not saying it was you, but someone who had access
to your Microsoft Account and your card."

At 730 I was in my car driving to work with my card on me. They suggested someone stole my information to pay microsoft...

I haven't been able to pin point what application they got my card number from. I didn't add anything recently other than flash seats. They don't seem to be tied to Microsoft.

Be warned, they are moving credit card information without your consent or knowledge. If anyone else has been through this I'd like to see if we can pin point where Microsoft has deemed this transfer of banking information without your consent, agreeable.

Credit card for me, my Trinidadian credit card actually works when purchasing games so I am buying pretty much everything available lol, but I have this credit card with only a very small amount so in case security gets breached there is not a lot of damage to recover from at all.

 

Bought XB1 @ Target Within Last Month? ~ Data Breach

Anyways... if you bought your XB1 or anything really at Target with a credit card... between the 27th of Nov and the 15th of Dec.. be careful... They had a data breach where 40 million peoples credit card info might have been compromised...

There are only two subjects who can have an access to your credit card information. It's you and your financial institution. It is our sole responsibility of how we manage and secure our credit cards and its information. In case someone else knows your account's
password, you will be able to check your account's sign-in history via
http://account.live.com > Go to: Security & Privacy > Check Recent Activity. This page will show you the IP Address where your account has been signed-in, the time and date and the location.

Xbox Supports have no way to add a credit card into our accounts without our consent nor our information. Even if they pull-up our profiles to their tools, it would require a verification code that they would need to get from us before they can fully access
our Microsoft Accounts. In case someone else that you don't know of have breached your account's information and made some unauthorized purchases, I highly recommend that you change your account's password first and contact your bank to report possible fraudulent
charges.
