Secure boot violation. Invalid signature detected. Check Secure Boot Policy in Setup.

Hello! I have an issue that has to do with secure boot. I wanted to play valorant but i couldn't because the anticheat system requires the secure boot to be activated. After googling tutorials, I found out i have to enable secure boot, then activate it. I tried to do so, but after the first step, the command for activating SB was still blacked out, so i couldn't really do anything i wanted to. I thought maybe I could save the settings (Secure Boot: enabled) and maybe try activating SB after restarting the laptop, but an error appeared to me: "Secure boot violation. Invalid signature detected. Check Secure Boot Policy in Setup". I checked to see if my laptop doesn't support secure boot, but it does, so i don't understand what's happening. After searching the web again and again for methods to fix my issue (updating the BIOS, disabling fast boot, setting an administrator then a user password in BIOS, loading the BIOS default settings), I sadly realized i don't know how to solve this problem. I want to mention i have Windows 11 pro. Can anyone help me activate secure boot, please?

    :)

Secure boot violation. Invalid signature detected. Check Secure Boot Policy in Setup.

    Hello Denisa_Maria.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that you can't boot your computer with security boot.

Based on the description you provided, it seems like some driver signatures may not be compliant, causing the issue.

You could try turning off Secure Boot, then running the command in Command Prompt as an administrator,

    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
After that restart your computer before turning on Secure Boot again.

Secure Boot is a hardware feature. If this operation is not effective, I recommend contacting your laptop manufacturer for assistance.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Secure boot enabled in BIOS but shown disabled in secure boot status.

    Hello, Udayan Khosla

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your feedback. You also need to disable CSM if it's BIOS-enabled again, and make sure that boot is configured for UEFI and not Legacy.

Once converted, configure the following motherboard options as follows:

    Boot Mode: UEFI

    Secure Boot: Enabled

    Fast Boot: Enabled

    Boot CSM: Disabled

TPM: Firmware TPM (fTPM, Intel PTT)

Also make sure the boot disk is formatted as MBR, otherwise you will need to convert it to GPT and then disable CSM for it to work.

In the case of changing from MBR to GPT, this is mandatory for UEFI (and therefore secure boot).

Note: When changing these settings, an error may occur and you will have to reinstall Windows, so please back up your data.

These are one of the features that must be reinstalled when you change it. When you disable the CSM on the motherboard, Windows will not boot and must be formatted.

If you choose to format, be sure to disable CSM before installing the new copy of Windows.

    Security Boot Verification Failure

    Hello, Bianca Co Umali

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your issue and it sounds like you've taken some good troubleshooting steps, but let's dive deeper into the issue.

    1. Factors affecting Secure Boot Verification: Secure Boot Verification is a process that ensures the integrity of the system's boot process by checking that only trusted software components are loaded during the boot process. This process involves verifying the digital signatures of the boot loader and operating system components to prevent malware from tampering with the boot process. While it's not common for a gaming application like Valorant to interact directly with the secure boot process, certain anti-cheat measures implemented by the game may trigger the security check.
    2. Why does it only happen on one account? The fact that the issue only occurs on your main Valorant account suggests that there may be something specific to that account that triggers the safe launch validation failure. It is possible that there is a conflict or issue with the game's anti-cheat system or other configurations associated with that particular account.
    3. Other possible solutions:
      • VERIFY THE GAME FILES: Sometimes, game files can be corrupted or incomplete, which can lead to unexpected errors. Try verifying the game files via a game launcher or platform such as Riot Games Launcher to ensure that all necessary files are present and intact.
      • Update drivers: Make sure that your graphics card drivers and other system drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause game compatibility issues.
      • Check for Software Conflicts: Disable or uninstall any recently installed software that may conflict with Valorant or its anti-cheat system.
      • Run as Administrator: Try running Valorant as an administrator to see if this solves the problem.
      • Create a new user account: If possible, try creating a new user account on your system and see if the problem persists when you log in using that account. This will help determine if the problem is related to your primary user account.
      • Re-contact Riot Support: Continue to follow up with Riot Support and provide them with as much detailed information as possible about the issue, including any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. They may have additional insights or suggestions for resolving the issue.

If none of the above solutions work, it may be worth continuing to work with Riot Support to investigate the issue further. They may be able to provide more specific guidance or escalate the issue to the technical team for further investigation. Additionally, visiting the Valorant community forums or subreddit may also provide useful insight or solutions from other players who have experienced similar issues.

Thank you for your time and effort in resolving this issue.

    Best regards
