    Late night Rant. "this is a secret achievement"......

    Yeah its pretty much for spoilers. A lot of story related achievements will spoil the story, so they keep them secret for that reason

    Yes, but this is just the first instance. What happens when you unlock an achievement before the game is released or you unlock story-based secret achievement with a spoiler in the title? Then you become a source of spoilers. Granted this may or may not
    be any of the secret achievements, but is a console ban worth it? The call is yours but warnings and recommendations have been made.

    Secret Achievements Are Annoying

    I think that secret achievements are great when it's something that you unlock just by playing through the campaign so that you don't get any spoilers, but I agree that it's really annoying when a secret achievement is something that you'd never even think
    of doing without knowing about it in advance.

    I don't mind them if they are story related and they want to avoid spoilers. I don't think they need to make other kinds of achievements secret though.

    I'd great miss them if they were gone. They give a sense of accomplishment/achievement. As far as secret achievements i do not mind them so long as they are restricted to story/chapter of the campaign to remove spoilers
