Secondhand Xbox 360 and saves from games

I have an Xbox 360 which we bought from a friend. My son has been playing his games and saving them under a gamertag that isnt his, and we would like to move these to his own gamertag which is linked to a new Microsoft account.

is this at all possible? I can get the log in details from the friend, but he isnt sure whether we can do this. We dont want to bring over all his gamertag stuff, just the files that my son has saved from Minecraft.

Any help to complete novices would be appreciated.

I agree 100% with you Creamstar12, wish they would do an update for this game. There is still many glitches and the fact that it is still playable online means there is still chances for an update right?

Nothing can be transferred between accounts. He would have to start over if he wants to use his own account.

Also, it is a violation of the code of conduct to share accounts, so your son using the friend's account does put that account at risk for being banned.

Hi. Nope. All games were redeemed/purchased via the same account. And everything is dandy in Purchases section, all redeemed/purchased games via Store/cdkeys appear there, even FIFA16. Those two secondhand games were probably used before, I'm sure they
were, maybe that's why they refused to install from a disc. But, as I said. Mortal Kombat XL was secondhand as was NBA2K17, but they both refused to install from disc. MKXL appears in My Games, NBA2K17 doesn't. Project Cars was also secondhand, but that one
installed from disc and appears in My Games. Will try turning off Instant-on, switch to Energy Saving, turn off the console, unplug from the wall, replug and switch back on. Maybe that will help. Thank you.

That's why you don't buy secondhand consoles from private sellers, secondhand from stores is ok as they are warrantied with that store.

Have you tried going to the store to see if you can get the games from there? Do the games show up in your purchase history?
