SECONDHAND BOUGHT XBOX S. SELLER BLOCKED ME.

I purchased a Xbox Series S today and I’m highly upset. First off let me tell everyone I purchased the Xbox off “offer up” which of course is considered “secondhand”. OfferUp is a popular local reselling app via iPhone, similar to Craigslist. Knowing the Xbox worked I went ahead and bought the console. After getting home I hooked up my Xbox and began erasing the profiles logged into the Xbox. After doing so immediately a message popped up stating that the console was banned from the Microsoft network. I looked up what this means and it’s basically a permanent locked Xbox. Microsoft states that you can enjoy the Xbox without connecting to the Microsoft network but this is almost impossible with a “Digital ONLY console”. Yes, the Xbox series S I bought is the digital edition. Meaning I can’t insert a game at all and I can’t access the store because the console is permanently BANNED. I never knew a console was capable of permanently locking and I’ve been gaming since the first ever xbox launched. I’m totally familiar with someone’s account being suspended/banned but an entire console? this is absolutely unheard of. With Microsoft knowing this “ban” is a possibility for their products, they MUST WARN THE ENTIRE PUBLIC TO NOT BUY XBOX CONSOLES “X” and “S” SECONDHAND. MICROSOFT MUST STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL CUSTOMERS BUY CONSOLES FROM A LICENSED GAMING SELLER ONLY!!! MICROSOFT MUST BAN ANY LISTING OF A XBOX ON A SECONDHAND APPLICATION DUE TO THE HIGH RISK OF A CUSTOMER BEING SCAMMED.
