    Secondary Account Charged Without Permission


    The Secondary account to my Primary account has been charged for XBL gold after being on a family subscription. At the end of December I cancelled my auto renewal and I have not been charged for my account and cannot access XBL gold, so no issues there,
    however the secondary for my family account (which is no longer) is still receiving XBL gold and has been charged without any prompt after the change from Family to Separate accounts.Which I believe should have happened as the support page suggests. As I've
    mentioned though the secondary account had been charged for Gold without a prompt for updating billing information.

    "Did my auto-renew status carry over into the new membership?

    Your auto-renew status remains the same for your primary account. However, if you want to continue to auto-renew your secondary accounts into individual Gold memberships, you’ll need to add or update the billing information for each of those accounts separately."

    Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    so basically if u want to remove parental control we have to leave to family plan. thats just
    [super silly]. so how does the primary account grant permission to the secondary accounts?

    How do I stop Xbox Live stealing from me?

    Or you can go and cancel the re occuring payment.

    Its no different than any other service if you subscribe you need to personally unsubscribe so you dont get charged without your permission.

    It sounds like billing information was added by someone. Microsoft wouldn't just add it themselves and then charge you.

    I have managed to sort it out! As this issue is on a secondary drive, not the local drive, I was able to delete the windows apps folder by changing the permissions without any harm to the OS and I am now able to setup the drive again
