    Hi, Thinking of getting a second Xbox one for my kids for Xmas. At the moment we have one xb1, I have Xbox live gold and my two boys each have an account attached to my account. They can both play online and use their own accounts. If I buy a second Xbox
    one, can I log in on that one and my children still use their accounts? I play downstairs they play upstairs? Also, I tend to download games nowadays, can I download the games I've bought onto the second console? Anyone else managed to do this? Many thanks

    Yes you would probably have to pay a £429 activation fee, but only to the participating retailer, not Microsoft. Because Microsoft are the good guys, they would never dare take any money from you.

    There is already a system for transfer of licences for the 360 (arcade games, DLC, GoD, avatar stuff) which doesn't cost anything. I can't see it being any different for One.

    You would need to make the second console the Home machine for your account. That way your children will still have access to your Gold membership and be able to play your games.

    I did mark this as answering my question but now I actually have the second Xbox One it's a little clearer.

    It seems I can't be logged on my console upstairs while the kids play Kinect downstairs (using my gold account) as I can only be logged on to one console at a time :-( or am I misunderstanding again?

    I've added my wife's profile to my 'family', I'm the gold account holder and I've added my wife's account as a family member, does this mean my wife can logon downstairs and benefit from my gold account while I use my account upstairs?

    So you can play 1 game on all 3 xbox's? Do you have everyone set up under the family plan for the main gamertag? I had 2 xbox's made the kids Xbox my home and they had no problem playing the games. But now I have three and I can't seem to get the same
    game to play on the old one that use to ve mine without me signing in. How did you fix it? Help

    You can use your account on both... But you can only have one Xbox One set as your "home xbox"..

    On the console you choose to set as home xbox all silver profiles will get the benefits of your gold membership..
