Second language fallback

Hi,

Running XBOX One with Hebrew language UI I'm having problems getting several games to fallback to language which is not English and therefore unrecognized to me.

I have to change the language settings to English to use the game and then get back to Hebrew so the young users can understand the UI.

It would have been better, if in the settings I could have chosen English as my 2nd language and therefore a game/application which do not have Hebrew in theirs language sets would default to the 2nd language chosen.

that could happen because the game does not recognize your native language, anyway, as youre saying this only happens with some games that don't support Hebrew, the good thing is that in the future more languages will be added to more games, but that depends
on the game developer

That's for sure, but in order to overcome this, I suggested above to enable a second language definition in the system settings that in my example will be English.

Once the game is looking in the system locale to determine which UI to load, if it doesn't find the first, there will be a second one as a fallback.

This is something that is already implemented in Android fir example.

In the game - Under “AUDIO”, select “CHANGE LANGUAGES” to pick your primary and fallback voice and text language preferences:

because this app don't have Simp Chinese support but have Trad Chinese but it doesn't fallback to english if you don't have language pack but Arab..............................(so strange)

so all you need is add an Trad Chiese language pack ( for example : taiwan )

I would definitely post on their forums over at halowaypoint.com. Being stuck in the fallback hopper for over 3 weeks definitely signifies a HUGE problem somewhere. The fallback hoppers are only activated when there is a server error. If I'm not mistaken,
there has only been one instance in the last month where the fallback hoppers had to be activated, and that issue was corrected in less than a day.

Give their forums a try and maybe you can spark the interest of an employee who can look into the issue personally.
