    Second Broken Headset in a Year


    Aside from the stock headset that comes with the Xbox One, I have bought three more since then. Recently I bought two headsets (the same one that comes with the Xbox) within the last 8 months. There is no damage done to the headsets and I can send pictures
    of all three to prove it. The problem in my newest headset is that I have lost audio while using the headset. The microphone did not work in my other one, and the one I bought two years ago stopped working all together (but I'm not complaining about that one).
    I have spent well over 60 dollars on these headsets and was wondering what I could do to get some money back, a new headset, or at least a coupon for a new headset. I would appreciate a timely response to this post.

    Second broken microsoft headset

    I bought a day one xbox one on 23/11/2013, the headset broke through no fault of my own in 11/2014, I bought a replacement the same day which is the exact same model and it has again through no fault of my own broken, I feel I deserve a free replacement.
    I have been in contact with xbox support and after being very helpful and polite they have referred me to a case specialist and sent me here . Having to buy a second replacement for an official microsoft product that has broken twice under normal and fair
    usage to me is unacceptable and points to poor manufacture.

    Sounds like your second controllers is broken too. At least the plug in for the headset.

    I would vouch for the second route, and buy a replacement plan. That way if it brakes within 2 years, you can just walk into the store with your receipt and broken headset and they'll get you a new one. It will save you a lot of money.

    Are you using the headset adaptor or pluging it straight into the controller?

    If the first your adaptor might be broken a common problem.

    If the second your headset could be broken.

    make sure your controller is updated with the headset plugged in, do a hard reset as well.

    Also start a party a watch to see if your mics working by your profile image gets highlighted is it does then your sound settings need changing.

    I have the same issue, I bought a second headset thinking it was damaged by placing it wrong while charging, now this 2nd headset is also broken. left it charging at night and broken in the morning. I don't want to buy a third one, this really sucks, they should at least sell the part so we can replace if they won't make warranty valid. Horrible design. now I have TWO broken headsets. I tried going thru the warranty process and keeps you looping around. Does anyone have an email from someone @ microsoft that can help us with this replacement?

    Define what is broken with your first controller. Like Eber said, it could be the plug in the controller not working, but it could also be the possibility with the second controller not being updated (Doubtful), maybe or it could be the headset not being
