Season Pass ???

Thinking of getting a season pass for forza 5 and Dead Rising. The thing is i heard there only good for a year, is this correct?

If true thats alot of money for just keeping the content a year.

The content doesn't disappear after a year. The season pass is just a way for you to pay in advance for a number of DLC packs at a lower cost than buying each pack separately as it comes out.

 

Content doesnt dissapear, u have it forever. The season pass itself has a time limit, meaning the season pass could be unavailable to be purchased after that time limit. You also have to get the dlc for the season pass within that time limit, you wont loose
anything if you have installed it.

The season passes will always say what you get. For example, the Forza one is 10 car packs, after you've received those 10 car packs you will have to go out and buy DLC. The content you get will be yours to keep forever and the season pass will last as long
as it takes to get what you have paid for, whether that content is crammed in during a week or over 2 years.

 

Is it possible for a game to have another season pass? Like, you get a year's worth of dlc but then they release another pass next year with more dlc? Does that ever happen?

 

In my experience of DLC, the sequel is well in to production before a season pass runs out but it's definitely something that I'd welcome on larger games with 2 year+ lifespans. Perhaps Fallout 4 when it eventually sees the light of day or Titanfall if the
sequel isn't raced to the shelves quicker than we can learn the maps on the current game.

 

Well I look at Gears of War 2. It had an absurd amount of DLC in the 3 years between Gears 2 and Gears 3. I would like then to spend a couple years on Titanfall 2 (you guessed what I was thinking about) and maybe have it released in fall 2016. 3 packs of
dlc is not enough to explore the amazing world that Titanfall takes place in. You need at least 6 fully stocked Dlc releases to flesh out Titanfall for the long run, possibly 7. The universe in the game is huge, the lore is incredible, and the general feel
is fantastic. We need to see more of it. I don't want it to be saved for Titanfall 2.

 

I'm hoping for Titanfall 2 around Winter 2016 too, I think that's the earliest it could be released whilst still producing a full and polished game. Although I would rather have a lot of content saved so that it can be fleshed out in to a more in-depth story
that could match Fallout, Gears or Halo in terms of it's universe, story and back story. I personally feel that the first game is a backbone or foundation to something which could produce a truly epic universe with a large fan base.

 

I would like to warn you though. You probably shouldn't get the season pass for dead rising unless you are a hardcore dead rising 3 fan. They are not amazing. You will get roughly 4 hours of bonus content for the 30 bucks you pay.

 

DR3 is a prime example of the kind of game I certainly wouldn't commit to DLC for before I've seen it. Some games just shouldn't have them in my opinion but hey, if there's money to be made...

Personally I feel the Season Passes for "Forza 5" and "Dead Rising 3" are a waste of time and too expensive respectively.

You might want to play the games you're on about and if you love them that much that you think you'll get the extra mileage out of them then go for the Season Pass. They're not taking any of the content away.
