Searching for games always gives a result list with All Media?

Some time, over two months ago a firmware update destroyed the search for games functionality.

You enter Show me Games - and search characters/word - and result is always videos, music and whatnot together with games.

And you do not get options to enter anything but one single options in Show.

I consider it a bug.

And result is you do not use the search for games at all - too cumbersome to browse through all media every time.

So guessing this also inflict on sales on store.

Redeemed Agent Origins DLC Code for Division but it never installed

Same issue here. I redeemed the code but the items are nowhere to be found.

Nothing appears under manage game....not even the "show all add-ons" option. Searching for the packs in the store gives no results.

 

Where is the preview board?

I found online screens of people seing the preview forums here but I do not have it in the list on my side. Is this not ready for all preview members yet?

Searching for preview word on all forums surprisingly return no results...

 

Hey, BookishFlunky90! If I am correct, I believe that your issue is that the filter option at the top, "show me..." doesn't break it down any longer; you only get the option for "all media". If this was a function that was there before, but is no longer
there, then you will want to post this up on the
Feedback site. This will get the attention of the right people to consider bringing this feature back.

However, if I am incorrect, please let me know so that we can nail it down further. Thanks!

I am a long time programmer - and don't know exactly how the search works - if the filtering is done on as a request on server side with a parameter what is to be sent in result list - or if All media is sent to client, filtering is done there.

So I cannot tell in detail if all to do with just All media - or if parameter from search page is not fed to server side.

I can mention - once doing a search and getting result - and going back to edit search - the All Media option follow you back there, changing the only options available to All media there too.

But you are correct - only All Media is available on result page - and just that fact may be the cause of the problem. Search page options could not be selected on result page.

Not sure how communications works between departments for Xbox - it seems there is no communication at all.

I've been on chat support two hours May 24th and fed them screeen shots and all. And repeated the same thing the day I posted here - two hours and they did not recognize at bug either, and just sent me to do UserVoice.

I feel I have done what I can - and instead of getting the Xbox One S today, I flipped and will get the new Sony Playstation Neo model when it comes. It's not only hard - it's impossible to get a simple bug report through by your folks.

Chat support is a splendid service you have and they really try and are dedicated to help - but they also need education to report to devs things that most probably are bugs. Not keep redirecting userbase around - do this, do that. They did not even acknowledge
this is a bug but sent me to make a request a new feature at Uservoice - WTF is that.

 

I voted sunday on this request - I'm not starting yet another:

Which is silly in my view - this is not intended functionality - searching for games you should get just games.

It's been like that since 2012 when I got the 360. And you just change it - and not looking at consequences.

If devs get hold of this link it can be fixed. To have that 7 vote request to surface - it will never happend otherwise.

You lost me, so what you do now I do not care anymore.....
