Search for best low end windows for my PC

So, I search a way to optimize my PC without buy anything (because this computer can't be upgrade from inside). I've found this os, ReviOS

ReviOS is a rebuilt Windows 10 distribution with features removed to run on slower older hardware. It won't address the fundamental issue you have here of an old laptop that isn't good enough to play the type of games you want to play.

Replacing your current Windows with this won't help you run those games. At least it won't magically make them run better.

Windows 7 has been discontinued some time ago. Which means little to quite possibly no compatible drivers, unsupported software and increased risks from viruses and malware.

Hello JosselinTheBeginner, from what I understand you have this PC but want to acquire a new one to play, this can vary a lot, ideally you search which game you want to play and check the minimum settings required, so you already have an idea of what to buy.

I don't know what your monitor is, but monitors can vary greatly in price if they are 4k for example.

You'd probably be stuck with Windows 10. I doubt Windows 11 is an option on your laptop. Now I don't know how old exactly your machine is, but what I can tell you is that is in computing terms it's pretty old and extremely limited. The Intel Celeron N2840 is a very low powered processor that was released in Q3 2014. It's only a dual core processor. 4GB of RAM is barely enough to get Windows to load, let alone anything else.

It should be possible to upgrade the ram to 8GB and perhaps replace the HDD for an SSD. But this will not improve its ability to run games. If you want to play games, then like in the previous response, you're going to need a new computer.

Can't find out exactly but I would guess the laptop is from around 2016 and came with WIndows 8.1 so, yeah, doubt it has the TPM module thingie (or ability to change in BIOS) for Windows 11.

Note that the RAM is DDR3 so not the best to begin with. OP should definitely be looking at something newer

OP: You need to expand more on what you are asking. Are you asking about getting a new laptop? Making the move to a desktop PC? Or are you simply asking which version of Windows (Win 10 or 11) is better?

If you are asking because you want a new laptop (judging by the specs I am guessing yours is a few years old and certainly not good enough for most modern titles), then that all depends on your budget, where you are, what games you play. If it was me, I'd start with a basic search engine search like "best laptops for under $xxx" (obviously the x's to be replaced by your budget and the $ by your local currency). Look at reviews of them, look into whether the specs are good enough for your games etc
