    My 2tb seagate still works as in i can hear it spinning around from the outside but its not showing up on my new series s ,no light shows up on the drive,can anyone help?

    Sounds like a hard drive failure. Best way to check is plug it into a PC/Laptop, and see if it gets recognized. Then download the app Seatools from the seagate website to run some basic tests. If the tests fail, then the hard drive has failed, and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

    Yes.

    I use a USB 3.0 drive.

    Just don't buy a Seagate branded drive as they are poor quality and a lot of people have trouble getting them to work with the 360
