    I have to do a full shutdown of my series x to get the light on my game drive to turn off when not in use. EVERY time now i have to do a powercycle to correct issue of not detecting internet when i turn the xbox on. there must be a better way, i didn’t spend nearly 200 dollars for this game drive to mess with my series x. Why does this mess with my internet ? I don’t see how this has anything to do with my network connection. Should I not do a full shutdown every time and just deal with the light of the game drive being on constantly even when not in use?

    Your external drive should turn off automatically if it’s designed for Xbox

    If maybe that is not the case you can disable the “when console is odd, turn off storage” option inside settings > general > power options > customize power options

    X1X - External USB Storage problem producing a "connection too weak error" and the broken UI handling it.

    I am using non powered 4TB Seagate and a powered 8TB Seagate and so fsr no problems at all...

    Personally, I use 2 Seagate External Drives for my XBOX One X. One is a 4TB and the other is an 8TB. I have been using them both for a little over 2 years with no issues. They are very quiet. :)
