    SeaGate 4TB XbOne dive not working


    So I think I'm going to need some experts here.

    : / so let me go to the story so you can understand the situation. I am afraid though that the 4TB drive is fried.

    I was on my Xbox One using my SeaGate 4TB USB Drive to install and download games on too. Well my Console happened to freeze during some games updating. This resulted in me forced to pull the plug on my console. After that moment my USB SeaGate 4TB drive
    has stopped working.

    I've attempted repairs.

    On PC the device will show up in Pinter however when going to PC/Manage/Device Manager/ Disk Management the Drive for the USB doesn't show up. So I am unable to add a Partition.

    -Yes I've checked for updates on Drives.

    -Yes I tried windows trouble shoot.

    -The device info says

    Manufacture: Unknown

    Model: Expansion

    Model Number: Unavailable

    Categories: Storage Device

    Description Unavailable

    Drivers are up to date

    Does not show up in Disk Management

    Does not show up in This PC (My Computer)

    Does not show up on Xbox One

    Seagate Official Software cannot detect it (They offered me to have it sent in for manual repair which I might have to do.)

    I've heard rumors some people still manage to fix it. I can confirm it's not a BIOS or Hardware issue among my Pc. I think it hast to do purely with the USB drive as my other USB Devices work fine, properly and on both Pc and Console.

    This particular drive is giving me issues. : /

    If anyone knows what I should do I'd really appreciate it.

    Honestly when a device does not show up on the PC like that it normally means that the Headers have crashed into the platters (Not good at all) This normally happens when its in the middle of writing something to the HDD (you said you were updating the games)
    this would mean it was writing to the HDD and when you unplugged the console it was probably in the middle of writing to the HDD and crashed the heads into the platter.

    Your best bet would be to take Seagate up on their offer.
