    How do I play my games on my hard drive with my Xbox s it says my games aren’t compatible with the hard drive and need to be moved into my internal drive.

    If it's a Series S that you're using, any Series S/X optimized games can only be played from the internal drive or an expansion card made for the console. Regular hard drives will not run those games. They can only store them.

    Xbox Series X|S games can only be installed on the console's internal storage or the external Seagate SSD card. Link here. External drives are too slow for those games. The external hard drive can only be used to install backward compatible games (Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One).
