Discus and support Sea of Thieves wont update but instead trys to install the whole game.. in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; So when I try to play Sea of Thievez,the game says I need to update it so I click on "update" in the Xbox app but then the game wants to download...     Sea of Thieves wont update but instead trys to install the whole game..


    So when I try to play Sea of Thievez,the game says I need to update it so I click on "update" in the Xbox app but then the game wants to download completlty new so 50gb.

    My friends then told me to update it via the microsoft Store so I clicked update it but the game wanted to download completly again so again it wanted to download the 50gb,s.

    I think this whole mess happened because when I brought the game in the xbox app I downloaded it to the second hard drive because it had a lot of free space,and now I think when I try to update the game.The Xbox/microsoft store trys to find it in my first
    hrad drive and cant find it so it wants to install the game completly new.

    So here comes the big question:How can I get the Micrsoft/xbox store to update Sea of thievez on the second hard drive?

    I use Windows 10,on pc of course

    cant install certain games

    i cant uninstall any games as there are no games installed. and my windows is fully updated.

    edit: yesterday evening i succesfully installed sea of thieves but deleted it because othergames wouldnt install and now sea of thieves wont install either there are still some games in the recently installed tab in the start menu

    Can anyone help me with my xbox app not installing/launching games?

    Also the problem with the game not installing is only for sea of thieves but for other games they get installed but when I launch them it pops up with the error code 0x803f8001 while for sea of thieves it pops up when I try to install the game.

    I think it is because you are trying to download Sea of thieves instead of the anniversary edition.

    Try this:

    Open the Microsoft Store(No the gamepass app), then search for Sea of thieves: Anniversary Edition and try to download that.
