Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

This happens because the game didn't completely uninstall when you uninstalled it. It still has some files on your PC that's preventing a reinstall.

You'll need to locate those files and remove them manually I'm order to reinstall the game.

Programs and apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store are installed in the following path by default: C:/Program Files/WindowsApps (Hidden items). To check hidden items, open This PC, click View and select Hidden items.

To take over the folder;

- Here is the path you should follow: Crogram Files.

- Go to View and check the box next to Hidden items.

- Locate the Windows Apps folder and right-click on it.

- Select Properties from the drop-down menu.Select Security. Then select Advanced.

- Go to Owner. There click Change.Enter Microsoft account email address.

- Check the box next to ‘Replace owner on subcontainers and objects’.

- Apply your changes.

- Locate and click your account in the list. Click Edit.

- Check the box next to Full Control.

NB: Unfortunately games in the folder has generic names so there's no way to legit tell which is which and you might end up deleting the wrong file.

there is not a lot that can be done, sea of thieves is installed in an encrypted folder with no way to access the files, if files are corrupt then a full download maybe needed, have you run a scan disk to make sure the drive is healthy.

It'll actually just show up in your downloads under the Sea of Thieves game. No codes. Got to My Games and Apps, then Sea of Thieves, hit manage game and it should be ready to install.

After uninstalling and reinstalling Sea of Thieves and the Xbox Game Bar many times, I am able to invite and accept invites on Sea of Thieves Insider through the Game Bar. I am able to send invites from the Game Bar for Sea of Thieves. However, when I receive an invite or try to join in on Sea of Thieves, I still have the same problem. Sea of Thieves and Sea of Thieves Insider are two different builds. There must be a file somewhere on my computer that is not being deleted or uninstalled and it's not allowing me to accept these invites on just Sea of Thieves. I don't know how to find this file.
