    Sea of Thieves will not download on D: drive


    When i go to download the game on my d drive the button goes grey for a second and then nothing happens. now i have tried to do the solution where i will go to my storage setting and change my apps default drive to my d drive and got the error 0x80070005
    now i have also done the solution for hat problem for this forum: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/gamepass-pc-change-save-hdd-error-0x80070005/764fd5ad-b034-4537-8869-0084557dcd07. i got access to the file and deleted it but then guess what. nothing happened i got the same error and im very confused and angry. Ps i have the xbox ultimate game pass but i dont think thas the problem.

    You can try the following steps to install Sea of Thieves on a different drive:

    Create a symbolic link (also known as a "junctions") between the folder where Windows Store installs apps on the C drive, and a folder on the D drive. This tricks the Windows Store into thinking the app is installed on the C drive, when it's actually on the D drive.

    Uninstall Sea of Thieves from the Windows Store, if it's already installed.

    Open an elevated Command Prompt window (right-click the Start button and select "Command Prompt (Admin)").

    Run the following command to create a symbolic link:

    mklink /J "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.SeaOfThieves_1.0.29.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe" "D:\SeaOfThieves"

    Close the Command Prompt window and open the Windows Store app.

    Reinstall Sea of Thieves and it should install to the D drive, using the symbolic link created in step 4.

    This should resolve your issue and allow you to install Sea of Thieves on the D drive.

    Do you have other games / are you able to install other games in your D: drive?
    Or Sea of Thieves it’s the only game that shows you this message?

    Why does the Xbox app insist on installing multiple installations of games on my C drive without my permission?

    Sea of thieves decided to uninstall itself for some reason over night, making it so that I cant play Sea of Thieves today due to the long download time.

    If I buy Sea of Thieves on Steam, can I play with the same account as on the xbox app version? That way I wont need to deal with the Xbox app or its version of Sea of Thieves.
