    Well,

    Today I redeemed a key for Sea of Thieves, right of the bat i couldnt download it and it kept giving me this error. I tried searching for solution online but was unable to solve the issue. I tried everything on this issue posted a year ago (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...hieves/057a5853-cd7d-4d9a-ad33-ef4ae24df2d1), didnt fix anything. Tried searching for answers elsewhere but got nowhere unfortunately. Only thing I didnt do was reinstalling but I'd like to find a way to fix this issue without doing so.

    I found some threads about missing AppLocker folder (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...073cf9/b8ec2724-b087-4599-8651-0b35760962d6), unfortunately also did not help.

    Key was for EU, so right one. Dont know what else to do.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there.

    I'm Wille, an Independent advisor and I found the solution you found amazing.

    I've seen cases that applying permission to All Application Packages on the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder can also solve this issue.

    I updated windows to latest version 22H2, because i somehow didnt update from 21H2 but it didnt solve the problem.

    Updated drivers, still nothing.

    I found a solution :



    • Open the CMD "right click on the start menu then Windows PowerShell (admin)"


    • Then copy and paste this line: fsutil behavior set DisableEncryption 0
    Restart the PC.

    I can now download the game without problem.

    Thread from 4 years ago, finally worked, solved.
