    Sea of thieves pc - update issue


    Trying to play a game THAT I HAVE BOUGHT!!! game updates today on steam, click on to play and error "lavenbeard" appears apparently due to my xbox account (which is linked) .

    I try and log in and cant remember my password so goto reset password and this is where the piece of **** microsoft bumhole **** starts....

    New phone number, put new phone number in and boom got to wait 30 **** DAYS TO BE ABLE TO PLAY MY GAME

    We understand your sentiment with having to wait 30 days after updating your security information to reset your password. We know how vital it is for you to be able to play Sea of Thieves and secure and reset your Microsoft account password. There are various reasons why you get this error message, as indicated in the game's support article (Lavenderbeard error – Sea of Thieves). Which main troubleshooting is related to Microsoft account like it was stated on how to fix the same error if it occur on Steam (Steam - Lavenderbeard errors). Cancelling the request is the only method to avoid waiting the 30-day period and changing/updating the security information (adding your phone number) as expected. However, this will persuade you to re-enter your old, forgotten password.
