    Hello, yesterday i bought on Xbox app on windows 10 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which contains Xbox Gold. Because i want to play Sea of Thieves throught it. I installed it and start it, but when i press Start Game in menu it opens the problem window on which is written: "Sorry, you are not currently allowed to join any sesions. Please chek your account settings and try again. (Avacadobeard). I searched everywhere for help but I didn't find anything to help me. I hope you will help me.

    Hi there, L337 Intruder, thanks for reaching out.

    You're trying to play Sea of Thieves on Windows 10 PC, correct?

    If so, on your Windows 10 PC, if you go to Settings>Apps>Xbox app>Advanced Options>Reset.

    Next, making sure you're signed out of the Xbox app and try signing back in to launch Sea of Thieves via Xbox Game Pass.

    open the windows store and search sea of thieves, see if one of them will let you download. as windows 10 xbox app uses the store to download.

    Good evening,

    I am also having the same issue where I cannot join my friends on Sea of thieves though the xbox gamesbar. I recently upgrade my pc to windows 11, and no issues with this on windows 10. I have both the steam version and windows store version of sea of thieves but only installed the steam version on my pc since upgrading to windows 11. I am able to play with my friends via the steam client, but when I try to join via the games bar I get the error of ms-application not found or something similar.

    Things I have tried to resolve the issue are:
    Uninstall / reinstall both the xbox gamesbar and sea of thieves
    Deleting the the registry keys for xbox gamesbar and sea of thieves

    Neither of these options worked. I am very confident it is not a network error as I am able to play of with others online. It is just inconvenient to not be able to use the xbox app.

    Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in learning if you need Xbox Live Gold in order to play Sea of Thieves on Windows 10.

    The Windows 10 version of Sea of Thieves     does not require the subscription to play it. Although, using online multiplayer features for Xbox games requires Xbox Live Gold. The link we provided explains more about the game. We hope this information helps!
