    Hi, i got the game pass but when the game downloaded and i started it, it keeps saying that i need to sign in to xbox live to play it? im signed into my account on the microsoft store for my pc and idk what else to do. please help

    To check, what error message are you seeing and are you trying to play Sea of Thieves on your Xbox One console or Windows 10 PC?

    Having the same issue. The exact error message is:

    "You must be signed in to Xbox Live to play Sea of Thieves. Please try again. (Ashbeard)"

    Try following these instructions:

    - Open the Xbox App;

    - Right click on your account and then log off;

    - Log in again.

    Go to the Store app on your PC.

    Make sure you are signed in to the account with Game pass.

    Click on your profile, then go to MY LIBRARY.

    It will surely work!

    Hi there FelineMoon, thanks for reaching out.

    To take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere, you will need to have installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. Then, simply log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and your Xbox Play
    Anywhere games will be available to download. On your Xbox One, games will show as “Ready to Install” under “My Games and Apps”. On your Windows 10 PC, games will appear in “My Library.”

    Did that help you access Sea of Thieves or are you still experiencing this issue?

    ok whaty caused this error for me was i uninstalled a bunch of microsoft apps. and had to reinstall them to be able to log in

    right click start...click run powershell as admin

    copy and paste this into it to reinstall the apps

    Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in learning if you need Xbox Live Gold in order to play Sea of Thieves on Windows 10.

    The Windows 10 version of Sea of Thieves     does not require the subscription to play it. Although, using online multiplayer features for Xbox games requires Xbox Live Gold. The link we provided explains more about the game. We hope this information helps!

    You're trying to play Sea of Thieves on Windows 10 PC, correct?

    If so, on your Windows 10 PC, if you go to Settings>Apps>Xbox app>Advanced Options>Reset.

    Next, making sure you're signed out of the Xbox app and try signing back in to launch Sea of Thieves via Xbox Game Pass.

    AshBeard Half Screen Problem

    Hey there, to make sure I understood you correctly, you're having trouble with signing into Sea of Thieves: Ashbeard. And on top of that, the sign-in window in game is showing in a very small window that doesn't display the sign-in prompt completely.

    You mentioned that you have done a lot of troubleshooting--just in case, I'm still going to share the following article from the Sea of Thieves help articles: Troubleshooting: Ashbeard error - Player is not signed into xbox live – Sea of Thieves

    Based on what you said you already tried, I would recommend starting around Step 3 and trying the following options after that.

    When it comes to the window itself not being the right size--this may sound like a silly question, but I have no way of knowing this since it wasn't mentioned: did you try resizing the window at all? Clicking and dragging the window corners, or maybe using either F11 or Windows Key + Up on your keyboard to attempt to full screen the little window?
