    Sea of Thieves no longer on my account


    I have owned the game since the beta, which was originally purchased through the MS store, and then went to the XBox app. This was not purchased or played with gamepass. Have had no issues until today when it said the app was refunded and needs to be purchased again, which it was not. I am signed into the correct and only account I use on both the XBox, MS store, and my Windows.

    I have hundreds of hours in this game and lots of ancient coin purchases. I can see the game purchase (Founders Edition) and all my ancient coin purchases in my transaction history, on the same account it has always been.

    Tried to uninstall and reinstall following a similar post, but I am not given an option to reinstall, as it thinks I don;t own the game. Tried to do everything I have found on posts up to this point, and not sure what else to do.

    Need some help to fix whatever is going on...

    I no longer have Steam on my computer and I got a refund for Sea of Thieves from Steam so it's not even in my Library. I also uninstalled the Steam version of Sea of Thieves from my computer.

    TjeMilkIncident, I understand that this is a little confusing, as you are sure that the purchase was on this account.

    But, the purchase history is immutable, not even mcirosoft can edit something of it.

    So if the purchase does not appear in that email, the purchase was definitely not made in that email, or, it was made on another platform, such as steam.

    I advise you to search again

    See if your order is listed here. Make sure you are using the email that made the purchase (DO NOT send the email here, it is not allowed)

    Open it, and see what is in the Status. If it is completed, or another word

    I'm waiting for the information if you found your purchase in the email, or if the purchase was made on steam or another platform.

    I have owned the game since beta......I in no way have asked for a refund of this game, and it is in my transaction history. Not sure how this game was taken away, for sure did not get any money back in my bank account. How could something even be refunded years after purchase??

    I cannot reinstall the game because it says I do not own it....

    I only have 1 email address, so it is 100% signed into the correct place, but still nothing. No other emails were ever used with this game or any of my Microsoft accounts.

    Appreciate the feedback, but not really helpful at this time.

    Did Microsoft just steal my money and my game? This is absolutely unacceptable, and to not really have the help in place to solve an issue they created is further unacceptable.

    With regards to the message you received that it has been refunded, can you confirm via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders page to see what is the status of your purchase for the Sea of Thieves? Try searching for the game itself not the in-game purchases. If it shows purchased that means it is not refunded, but if it shows the status is refunded or has negative balance showing meaning you will need to repurchase the game to play it. No worries as all your progress will still be there if ever that is the case.

    If status shows purchased, try to reinstall the game again but make sure to check the email address signed in on the app is the same one where you purchased the game.

    i bought a game year and a half ago and microsoft removed it?

    Is it not allowing you to download any version of Sea of Thieves at all? While they don't list it as the "Anniversary Edition" any longer, isn't everything that was there just a part of regular Sea of Thieves currently? If not, what is missing?
