Sea of Thieves main menu freeze/stuttering

Hello,

I contacted Rare support but they can't help me.

When I wanna play Sea of Thieves I got some problems starting the game.

The game launches and it checks If I'm logged in. After these check the Intro starts and I press ESC to skip it.

Then the whole game freezes, my game sounds starts lagging, I can't talk with my mates on discord and I can't here them (like package lost), the whole PC freezes and I can't exit the game with ALT + F4, Task Manager or by clicking on the red X in top right
corner. I need to hard reset my PC by holding down the power button for 5 secounds. After restart I try it again and get the same stuff. Every 4th or 5th try the game launches and I'm able to play Sea of Thieves with no problems. When I get kicked or we gonna
change game mode the whole stuff starts again and I need to restart and more.

I tried alot and I installed the game by now more then 20 times. I reinstalled my Windows 3 times to be sure that everything got deleted. (Clean install with Secure Erase)

But now I found that it maybe is an problem with my Xbox/Microsoft Account. I tried my 2. Account (Family Share) and with that everything worked fine. I just log out from my main account in Xbox App and log in into my 2. Account and started the game. It
launched without any freezes/crashes or more.

Then I logged back into my main account and the problem is still there. So there must be any problem with my main Xbox Account.

Maybe anyone over here has a good work around or solution.

Thanks for reaching out to Xbox forums support.

Are you having any issues with any other games other than Sea of Thieves? If the issue that you're experiencing is only with at one particular game and uninstalling it and reinstalling it did not resolve it, it sounds like it may be a developer server issue
on their side.

Hello Brad,

yeah I play the game since March 2018 (release). Without any big problems. In june 2019 I got this same problem after a big Update from Sea of Thieves. This problem now started last week after wednesday update. But Rare says they can't help me anymore thats
why I'm here.

I'm playing on PC (Windows 10). Will I lose every progress of each game, when I delete the Cloud Data?

They released a patch earlier today for an issue that was causing the game to crash. Might need to update your game.

I know that, but it doesn't fixed my game.

The update was just for the game crashes which occured ingame while playing. My game starts freezing in the main menu after the Intro when it says "Finding crew ledger"

Hi Felix,

I only got Sea of Thieves on my Xbox Account which I can play on PC. But when I play Sea of Thieves Insider (Test Server/Pre Release) then there isn't that problem.

I contacted the Rare Support but they say they can't help me and I should contact Xbox/Microsoft Support. So now I'm confused because you say looks like a server issue on Rare side and Rare says ask Microsoft/Xbox.
