Sea of Thieves --- High Ping - Kill Ping issue

Hello,

I own and play sea of thieves for a couple of years now. I bought it from the Microsoft Store. Lately, I took a pause from the game, and now my friends and I wanted to get back into it.

I immediately noticed that it was running extremely laggy and not as well as before. I have a very good wifi-connection and my PC could run the game on the best settings available. But now all three to five seconds there is an extreme lag occurring while I am in the game. I checked the Internet and the Support page, but the only thing I found was people complaining about a High Ping issue, which seems to be my problem. I tried lowering the settings and closing any other application that uses my wifi-connection, but nothing worked and I have no idea how to fix it.

Thanks for the answer, but I followed and tried out all solutions but nothing seems to solve the problem.

go into the settings under see of thieves and enable fps and ping view so you can then see that on screen, check what your ping is hitting and see when it spikes, if that does not go up then it maybe cpu or gpu spikes or some other issue.

same issue here, sea of thieves ping as high as 700, ships flying too. given up
