Sea of Thieves Error Code: 0x80080206 HELP!!!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, As XBF Jasmine mentioned the Operating System is the next thing to troubleshoot. The thing that may be affecting the specifications for the game and Xbox App, may be due to the custom Operating system on the PC.

We understand this has been a long process regarding the 0x80080206 error code for Sea of Thieves.
As a last resort, you can ‘refresh’ your Windows 10 installation, which is much the same as reinstalling the operating system. Your documents won’t be affected, but you’ll need to reinstall any applications that aren’t part of Windows.

1. Restart Windows in Troubleshooting mode

2. Close any open applications

3. Press the [Windows] + [L] keys to log out of your Windows account — or just restart Windows.

4. On the login screen, click the Power icon at the bottom right, hold down the [Shift] key and select the Restart option.

Run Windows Update:

1. Go to Settings

2. Select Update & Security

3. Then click on the
Check for updates button and the Anniversary Update should come through.

Sorry to hear the issue is still there. Please try the steps listed below:

1.Press Windows key + X.

2.Then click Command Prompt(Admin)

3.Now type the following command and hit enter:

4.Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage

5.Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

6.Restart your computer

7.Repeat steps 1-2 when the computer has booted up.

8.Instead of entering the command in step 3, enter the command in step 9

9.Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and let us know if that helps.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
   
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘services.msc’ and hit enter.
   
3. Search for Volume Shadow Copy.
   
4. Right click on the services and go to ‘Properties’, and change the startup type to ‘Automatic’.
   
5. Restart the PC.

You do not need Xbox live gold to use Xbox games on PC, but you do need the Xbox app and an account.

(Do this first->) We also recommend that you reset the Windows Store app to clear the store cache. Follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).
3. Type wsreset.exe, and then hit
   Enter.
4. Launch Windows Store and check if there are available updates and install them.
5. Open Microsoft Solitaire Collection and play the events again.
