    Sea of Thieves displaying splash screen for approx. 1 min then crashes.


    When I press play on Sea of Thieves, it just closes after I wait around a minute. Is there a way to fix this? Here are all the things I've tried to fix the problem, and I don't plan on resetting windows 10 just for the game.

    1. Make a local account. (Reverted back to Microsoft account)

    2. Install latest GPU drivers.

    3. Uninstall VB audio cable driver.

    4. Reboot computer.

    5. Reinstall game on C Drive 3 times.

    6. Try to boot on Xbox app.

    7. Install a free app on the windows store.

    8. Run the following PowerShell command: Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register

    “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml

    9. Start the service "Windows Installer" and "Windows Updater"

    10. Run the windows store reset. 11. Reset Sea of Thieves.

    12. Run the Windows app troubleshooter.

    13. Remove all my accounts except for the one I used to purchase the game.

    14. Stopped MSI Afterburner.

    15. Stopped NordVPN.16. Disabled Microsoft Defender (Antivirus).

    17. Re-ticked "set time zone automatically".

    18. Changed keyboard layout to UK, then back to US.

    Hi, I've tried most of the solutions that you have linked me, however when I try login to a new account the windows store disappears as well as other microsoft apps such as microsoft edge and the search bar stops working etc.

    Yes, I have done that around 3 times. Sorry if you couldn't read it from before, the layout of my post was oddly sorted.

    thread in the Sea of Thieves forums     that includes some troubleshooting which appears to have resolved other users with this issue - can you try the recommended solution there, and let us know if you're still seeing the same crash after that?
