    SEA OF THIEVES CRASHING ON STARTUP


    Hi,

    I really really really really need some proper assistance.

    Since the Halo theme thingy was anounced I am trying to get back in the game. I just can't get it to work. litterally spend about 15 hours to fix.

    It crashes as soon as it starts up with no errors what so ever. It shows the sea of thieves logo and then just closes the application.

    I tried all fixes I could find and even went trouble shooting myself a while.

    Windows 10 is up to date.

    graphics drivers up to date.

    I have no trendmicro as shown on the SoT support page.

    Re-installed it on my c: drive.

    Permissions are set correctly for the windows apps folder.

    I really really want to play this again but just can't get it to work.

    And the Halo stuff is almost removed .. if not already now?

    Previously before the anniversary update it worked like a charm and in my hardware nothing has changed

    Please help me i'm sooo desperate right now as I can't get it to work.

    Hi,

    Unlike most people on this forum, I'm also a PC player. Not had much play on SoT, but I do play other Windows 10 games.

    Please answer some questions for me.

    1. What background processes do you have running in Windows 10? Any Antivirus or hardware monitoring apps?

    2. What are your system specs?

    Some Windows 10 Store games can have issues with certain antivirus applications and programs that monitor graphics and hardware performance such as MSI Afterburner.

    Please let me know.
