    Sea of Thieves crashes on launch


    I have recently downloaded Sea of Thieves to my PC from the Microsoft store and it appeared to have download correctly, however, every time I launch the game it shows the initial load screen picture surrounded by a black border in a windowed tab then immediately just closes the game after 1-2 seconds. No error message appears and no freezing of the window occurs. I have tried to reinstall about 3-4 times using various different methods I have found online but with no luck. This is my last-ditch attempt at some type of solution before I give up on playing the game. I have had no issues downloading and playing other PC compatible Xbox games in the past it's only this particular game. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have dug through event files on my computer and finally found this as the only error message associated with the launching of the game:

    Unable to start a DCOM Server: Microsoft.SeaofThieves_2.101.2052.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe!AthenaClientShipping as Unavailable/Unavailable. The error:

    "2147942405"

    Happened while starting this command:

    Microsoft store apps say "This app cant open"

    I downloaded the update and restarted but only non game-pass games launched except Minecraft. Sea of thieves and Forza horizon still only launch and sit on the first loading screen forever and then crash with no errors.
