    Sea of Thieves closes after splash screen. Weird errors in event log


    I launch the game, the splash screen appears and then closes. I've searched through the Event log and found two error messages that happen everytime the game is launched and closes

    below are the two error messages:

    Unable to start a DCOM Server: Microsoft.SeaofThieves_2.80.1038.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe!AthenaClientShipping as Unavailable/Unavailable. The error:

    "5"

    Happened while starting this command:

    "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.SeaofThieves_2.80.1038.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Athena\Binaries\UWP64\SoTGame.exe" -ServerName:AthenaClientShipping.AppX1tppsmwxvf2km3jd8xq57zc8r6c65hfj.mca

    Activation for Microsoft.SeaofThieves_8wekyb3d8bbwe!AthenaClientShipping failed. Error code: Access is denied.. Activation phase: COM ActivateExtension

    I've tried every diagnostic tool available, uninstalled and reinstalled, insured I was logged into xbox app, made sure I was logged into local account on windows, ensured all services related too are running.

    Yes i've checked to make sure I have all updates and that all Xbox apps are up to date aswell
