    Sea of Thieves - Can't play online


    Hi! When I'm starting Sea of Thieves on my PC it says that I need to change my xbox settings to play online, and the settings are already on. Sea of Thieves says that i need xbox live gold, but that shouldn't be a problem because I'm playing on my PC. Am
    I missing something or is this just a bug?

    Xbox game pass - possible to play "play anywhere" games on PC?

    Hi,

    I was thinking about getting sea of thieves and play it on PC. Now Im just thinking about getting Game Pass 'coz it will get the sea of thieves with 9,90 for a month and if sea of thieves will be play everywhere version... that jolly roger then.

    Does it work like that? The knowledgebase didnt give any straight answers.

    Hi!

    Check your privacy settings and check that the "Join multiplayer games" option is set to "Allow" (Windows 10 Online Safety tab).

    My friend LazySnake23 has the same issue.

    Allowed everything on Windows 10 Online Safety tab but still the game says he should change something in his confidentiality and online settings

    Games pass and live gold confusion

    Game Pass is a subscription service to get access to games including Sea of Thieves.

    Gold is a subscription service to be able to play online. Sea of Thieves is an online only game and would require gold to be able to play it.

    Unless he own Sea of Thieves by itself, he needs both.

    Why do i need to renew gold when i start sot, even though i own the game

    sea of thieves is an online only game, so if playing via console you need gold to play online.

    why should we pay xbox live gold extra if games like sea of thieves are based on online multiplayer (don't buy Xbox live gold)

    You'll be needing to get the Xbox Live Gold in order to play online on Sea of thieves. The game will require a subscription in order to play online.
