Discus and support Scrolling rainbow colored pixels during video playback in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have tried all logical steps to try and fix the problem.     Scrolling rainbow colored pixels during video playback


    I have tried all logical steps to try and fix the problem. Hard reboot, try different HDMI cables/ports on tv, ect...

    I've attached an example of the problem while playing one of the tutorial videos.



    If anyone has any ideas on how to fix please share.

    Hello I am trying to watch an episode on xbox video and I have been receiving an error code message. Playback Error An error occurred during playback. Status code: 80040000 This has been happening multiple times.

    No center channel sound on Ghosts

    I'm using HDMI and it lowers the center channel in FORZA and mutes it during video playback. So pissed right now.

    It could be the graphics card in the console in which case you'd need to send it in for a repair. However, just to be on the safe side can you adjust the settings on your TV or try the console on a different TV to see if the issue persists?

    Thanks for the tip!

    I tried another t.v with no avail. It only happens when playing videos from Netflix, YouTube, ect.. and during cut scenes in games like Halo. It's very random, normally you'd expect it to be constantly happening with a problem like this, but during normal
    game play and in the menus it's fine.

    I bought the console only a week ago from GameStop and it was a problem from day one.

    Ok, I'd recommend clearing the hard drive and returning the console for an exchange then.

    Is there a way to backup the xbox on an external drive before returning. I would hate to have to spend all those hours setting it up again and wait over 12 hours for Halo to download.

    Absolutely. The Xbox One console supports USB 3.0 drives ranging in size from 256 GB - 16 TB for game storage. Simply connect one and then move the content over.
