    Scrolling issue related to controllers


    I often use my xbox controller to play alot of games and it works perfectly, the only problem is that as soon as i open a windows application such as photos, settings, start pannel, etc. it scrolls infinitely making it impossible to use. unplugging the controller does nothing to prevent this and ive even used joy.cpl to configure my controller and the issue persists. the only way to get it to stop is to restart my computer. Its heavily impractical to have to restart my computer every time i want to use my controller so please help me fix this issue.

    Please disconnect all accessories. Make sure that there are no external devices (like keyboards or other USB accessories) connected to the Xbox Series X that might be causing unintended input.

    And then inspect controllers. Even though you've tried multiple controllers, check if the issue persists when using the Xbox app on your phone as a remote control. This can help confirm whether the problem is hardware-related or software-related.

    Next is to update firmware. Kindly check if your console and controllers have the latest firmware updates because an outdated software can cause input issues.

    For that issue related to fortnite usually to fix it is to go to settings on fortnite and navigate to the Mic/Volume icon and scroll down to where you see to toggle off/on. Toggle it off press Y button on your Xbox controller then toggle it back on same thing press Y button. Sometimes putting it off then restart your game and re enable it helps as well to fix this issue.
