Screw Microsoft, they completely destroyed my Xbox account

Back when I was a young lad, back in 2010/2012, I got Xbox Live, and created a separate email for said account, on Hotmail. I bought quite a lot of stuff with Microsoft points including DLC, Avatar rewards, ect. Supported the crap out of Xbox and loved it.
Then I quit playing Xbox for sometime.

Now trying to come back to it to relive some memories, I find out I cannot sign in, as I forgot the password to that, now 8 year old email. No biggy. Forgot my password button. "I'm sorry, your email address does not exist." Huh? It got purged after being
inactive for so many years. Which, wouldn't be a problem for any throw away email, but this has time and money invested in it. I contact support, who tells me to fill out an account recovery form. Which doesn't seem to cover Xbox accounts. And cannot help
me get my Hotmail account back, as it is now apparently gone forever.

So now I have a Xbox Live account, with probably a couple hundred dollars of stuff on it, and absolutely zero way to ever access it again. This it what being a loyal customer gets you I guess.

Any hope at all for getting this account back from that void? Anyone?

Well, your disc is destroyed. Install your games next time and every time. You won't get this fixed--Microsoft is denying any design flaws, and all you get told is that you probably moved your console or it wasn't on a flat surface...even though a bunch
of third parties proved that to be false, and that the console eats discs even when used properly.

 

Anyone else having problems with MS costome support?

I'm also having the same issue with customer service at Microsoft they lie everyday you talk to them each day is a completely different story so I'm taking my back to Walmart to get my money back screw Microsoft

 

1st question is this was support able to find your account with your gamertag that you had on that account? If so that means the account is still open and possibly you are misspelling the email address with one that the system is not able to find. hence
its giving you that message.

if support was not able to find an account for you with your gamer tag then yes its possible that it was closed due to inactivity.

now if support was able to find an account for you and they can verify that account ownership then they would be able to get into the account enough to tell you what the email address is for the account.

 

emails do expire after awhile it is up to you to keep your account open even by checking your emails or by updating your email

Most I think it is is 2 years max
