Screen turns black but sound can be heard

Hi, since about last week I'd say... I started having problem with my Xbox Series X. Every time I play around the Xbox Menu or the Xbox Store or even while using an app like Films & TV, the screen suddenly turn black (usually when I press A on a on-screen button/tile) and it stays black (dark grey), but I can still hear everything in the background (sound effect when I move the cursor on different button/tile, etc.). All I can do is close the console and open it right away and it fix the problem until it happen again. It never happened so far while I was playing a game, except if I go on the Xbox Home while playing a game. I tried a Hard-Reset, didn't fix. Could it be due to a bad update from the early update in the Xbox Insider? Or do you think this is something else...?

Could be. It could also be a bad HDMI cable.

If a different HDMI cable has the same issue, Try a full power cycle of your console. (Unplug the console completely for a few minutes.)

If the problem still persists, register your console for repair at myservice.xbox.com

Power saving mode, there is no sound either the screen just stays black or the xbox just turns it's self off

Does this work if it loads to a black screen only. On March 2nd I cold rebooted my console, due to lag on the tv side. When I turned it on the screen stays black. Light on console comes on and make the sound when power button is pressed. After that just
a black screen.

The Vizio logo is completely independent on its own upon boot up and would have nothing to do with the XBOXONE or anything else connected to it. I would suggest that you make sure your TV is current on firmware. Second, I would factory reset your Vizio to
factory settings. Third, if the above doesn't fix the issue you should then call Vizio to explain your situation. Hopefully the set is under warranty still. My first guess is there is something going on with your Mother Board in the TV, hence why when you
unplug it begins to work again albeit temporary. Good Luck!!

Yes, the black screen. My tv shows I have something in the hdmi slot and when you turn the power on the xbox you see you tv go to a black screen and you have no sound control or anything. I left it on the green screen for 10-15 minutes during first set up
and it went to a fuzz screen then black. Now just black every time you turn it on. So disappointed. But of all else fails I'm getting a new one from GameStop Sunday. If anyone hears something new please update here.
