    Screen Time Per Device

Hi, is there a way to allocated different screen times for different devices? My son has a Windows 10 laptop for his school work and an Xbox and I want to block the Xbox during the week but allow him to use his laptop for his school work. I can only set
screen time for both of his devices. Not cool!

I look forward to hearing from you.

    :)

    Screen Time Per Device

    Hi there,

I just checked it for my family and I can set screentime per device via the link here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/family/

It has an option to choose if screentime applies to all devices or per device via a checkbox/slide

And when that is off it shows both Xbox One console and Windows 10 seperately as seen in this from my own setup (where Windows 10 is not enabled for screentime):

Unified screen time across all devices

Hello Talvaller,my name is Oskayra, I will be happy to help you in any way possible.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Starting in April 2023, Microsoft Family Safety allows you to set separate screen time limits for different devices. This means you can set a 2 hour per day limit for your child's computer, a 1 hour per day limit for their phone and a 30 minute per day limit for their tablet, to do that do the following.

Open the Microsoft Family Safety app.

Tap the name of the family member for whom you set screen time limits.

Go to the corresponding platform you want to set screen time for: Windows/Xbox.

Set screen time for each device as you like.

Select a day to set time ranges and total hours allowed for device use.

I hope the information is helpful to you, if not, let me know that I will be happy to continue helping you, good luck and happy day.

    Sincerely,
    Oskayra.

Xbox one screen time limit not working anymore

    Hi Nico,

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

If screen time isn't working the way you expect it to, keep the following in mind:

With the latest update of Windows, you're able to set up one schedule that'll apply across all of your child's devices. This means if you give them five hours in a day, they'll have five hours between their Xbox One and Windows 10 devices. Otherwise,
time gets tracked separately, so 1 hour of screen time means 1 hour per device.

    Please check out
Fix screen time limits not working
    regarding troubleshooting steps.

Give this a try and let us know how it goes :)
