Screen time limits being exceeded on Xbox

STEP 1: Navigate to the top-left corner of the guide to see your profile, then
select Add & manage.

STEP 2: In the Who are you? screen, select Add new.

STEP 3: Sign in using your child’s Microsoft account.

STEP 4: When prompted, select Choose an adult, then log in to your own Microsoft account.

NOTE: You will need to perform this step even if you’re already signed in. Also, if you have a Kinect, Microsoft can sign in the child with face recognition. Otherwise, you can either require a passkey or a full password to sign in and
make account changes.

STEP 5: Return to your own account and lock it down by heading to Settings, then All Settings.

STEP 6: Next, go to Account, then

Sign-in, security & passkey, and then select Change my sign-in and security preferences.

STEP 7: Select either Ask for my passkey, which requires a six-digit code for logins and transactions, or Lock it down, which requires a full password.

NOTE: Kinect owners can also set up sign-in via facial recognition.

STEP 8: When asked to stop using instant sign-in, select Continue.

NOTE: Remember that you’ll still be signed into the parent account immediately after setup, so don’t turn over the controller just yet and proceed to the next step.

STEP 9: Either sign out or turn off the console to initiate the lockdown and to make sure that your screen time limits are implemented.

I guess there is a maximum amount of money you can have on your account.

For example I still have 2 years of Game Pass to redeem but I've already reached the limit so I need to wait.

Have you spent the money on your account?

If not, try spending some (if you need to buy something of course!) and redeeming the new one.

I had a quick look on the internet, for France the limit is 250€.

It's funny but xbox live right now is having troubles Using prepaid cards or codes.

It's seems it is not your day right now!

But yes, wait few hours and after the alert is gone try redeeming your card
