    Screen Time Limit Easy Bypass!!

    Hi All,

My 8 years old boy has a simple method to by bypass the Screen Limit time on Xbox One.

Sign in -> Xbox auto signs out -> Sign in again -> Xbox auto signs out -> Repeat....Tada!! It works, that simple. Sometimes he has to repeat it 5 times sometimes it works from the second sign in attempt.

Any help to resolve this issue is highly appreciated. Thanks!

    :)

  2. Screen Time limits issues

Having the same problem, some days it works and I've seen a pop up warning of 15 mins left, some days it doesn't. I have total screentime over the week set to 15 hours, mostly 2hrs/day and one 3hrs, but I receive a weekly report stating 23hours of FIFA.

Has anyone worked out how to fix this?

  3. Screen Time limits issues

I have a couple quick issues with the Family settings I am trying to enforce - two sons, 15 & 16 yo, two accounts under my "Family" account:

    1. Why are the hours of "App & Games" not equal to the hours in "Screen time" in my weekly report - ie. App & Games = 16 hrs, 3 min; Screen Time = 11 hrs, 49 min???
    2. I have set a max limit of 5 hr per day, so he should not be able to play longer than that - ie 5hrs, 6 min one day last week - right?
    3. Additionally, I have time limits set at 10:30pm weeknights and Midnight on weekends, but they is able to play through these limits every night...?
Obviously, this is a user error on my end! Please let me know what I am doing wrong, or if there are fixes coming to actually make bothering with this whole thing worth while.

Have you double checked that the screen time settings are set for the correct times for your local timezone? Also, double check that you have set screen times for both the PC and Xbox features. If the device is online and has the correct time set, he shouldn't
be able to bypass it. I double checked this with my sons access and I couldn't get around the screen time block.

    Screen Time Limits Easily Bypassed

    Hello H00AH!

I know this situation must be frustrating. We're here to help! I would recommend you switch the accounts Sign in preferences from the parental account. Switching the child accounts settings so that the account is not set up to Instant sign in and set up
with the "Lock it down" option instead. This would require him entering the child accounts password in order to sign in and that can only be performed online. Also by turning off the Instant Sign in feature his account would not be able to be signed into while
offline without the password as well. That would stop the guest account from being able to log in. Hope this helps!

Change your sign-in preferences on your Xbox One console (You must follow these steps but from the Family tab in your Account Settings
under the child account whose settings need to be edited.)

In addition, getting a "fix" for that type of situation is a very good suggestion. I would recommend going to
    Xbox Ideas
and submitting that suggestion for review there. If others think it's a worthy idea as well, then they'll likely pick up on it for voting at a later time. Thanks again!

You could just get rid of the xbox, but I think that will destroy your son's heart

Good question, but my account is not set to auto login, so he can't be using it to bypass the screen time limits.
